General Info
Hello everyone, I am Sarah Netz, a freelance illustrator based in Germany. On this page you can find all of my current single character commission options.Each commission will be done in my style and has a lot of thought and craftsmanship behind it.Next to my standard commission packages below, there is also an additional option menu further down, including backgrounds and traditional versions.In case your favored commission option is currently unavailable, make sure to stop by occasionally, because I update regularly :).

Background
Every illustration comes with a white background.
A smokey or darker background can be requested without any extra charge.
If you want a more complex background please let me know, so we can discuss details and pricing separately.

How it works
Before the commission
Check the options below and on my main commission page, and think about what you want commissioned. It's always a plus to have good reference pictures and information on hand that will help me get a general idea of the character/s you want me to draw (e.g. pose, expressions, attributes, personality, etc.).A quick note about NSFW and other controversial content
I do accept NSFW and gore requests as long as they are not too explicit, depict minors or animals or show self harming behaviour. I do not accept or tolerate any racism or antisemitic content (symbols included) and also do not accept political themed requests!I have the right to reject any order I feel uncomfortable with.If you are unsure about any of these guidelines or have something in mind that is not listed, feel free to ask me about them and we will figure things out :)
-Getting started
Once decided you can contact me via E-mail at [email protected]I will check my mail twice a week and am not available on weekends and on holidays.
Once I've got the information I need, I will calculate the estimated price in an invoice sample, which you will receive together with my general terms and conditions (most of which you have already seen here). During that time you can always reconsider and ask for changes.If you agree to the estimated price, the final invoice will be sent to you. In standard cases the full amount due has to be paid upfront within 10 days of work. However if you prefer to pay 50/50 (half upfront, half upon delivery), let me know beforehand, so I can calculate the estimated amounts accordingly.Payment must be done in EUROS (€).
-Mid-stage to final image
During the commission you will receive updates in low resolution, which you can always give feedback on. Please note that your constructive feedback will have the highest impact when it is honest, specific and within the scope of the original order. You have ONE final round of feedback once the piece is done.The final and polished illustration comes in high resolution and will be sent to you as PDF and/or high resolution JPG. The dimensions of my digital pieces are normally between A2 and A3 in 300dpi. In case you ordered a traditional piece, shipping will already be part of your invoice.
-Cancellations
For each order based on my Commission List, I will send you an estimated invoice sample via E-Mail, which lists everything you ordered, where you ordered it and when.In case you would like to cancel or change the scope of your order, please do so before agreeing on the final version of your invoice, by sending me an E-Mail! Otherwise, I may have already started on your piece and won't be able to change things accordingly.For cancellations after I have already started on your piece, I would also have to keep half of the amount due as a security deposit. Cancellations after a successful first round of feedback will not be refunded.
Digital VS Traditional
Traditional
Like implied, traditional pieces are done the old-fashioned pencil on paper way. For my traditional pieces I use regular pencils (HB-6B) on high quality art paper. Alternatively, the piece can also be done using colored pencils. Inked Illustrations are currently only done digitally.-
Digital
Please note that digital does NOT mean that the piece is generated using AI or similar tools!The piece is still hand drawn by me, but instead of drawing on paper it is created using drawing software and a drawing tablet. My current combination of choice is "Clip Studio Paint" and a "HUION Kamvas Pro16".-
Licence & Copyright
Every commission based on and ordered from my commission list or Ko-fi is set as a PRIVATE COMMISSION and therefore meant for PRIVATE USE ONLY. It is not allowed for sale, resale, duplication, tracing or altering of any kind. This also includes removing or altering my signature, the minting into an NFT, or the usage of my artworks as input for an A.I. based tool.In case you do want to sell your commissioned work or publish it in a way that is business-related (e.g. in a book, as an info banner, etc.), make sure to mention it beforehand, so we can set other more specific terms of use.
